What is the main function of a goal training net? It is, of course, to stop the ball. Therefore, the net should stand out for its excellent durability and flexibility. In addition, if it is used outdoors, it must be resistant to sunlight and temperature changes and be distinguished by its low absorbency. Training goal net - why is its quality so important?
When it comes to regular training sessions, the quality of the net - its material and the precision of its manufacture - is of great importance. If you choose a product made of the wrong material, it will wear out quickly and will not be suitable for professional training. Often used during play, the net will gradually lose its elasticity until it is eventually necessary to buy a new one. Partially worn nets can sometimes be spotted on Orlik pitches and sports halls. The high number of times the ball hits the goal causes the net to deteriorate over time. Therefore, pitch keepers who know from experience the problem of fast wear and tear of nets choose models made of strong materials with the right depth and thickness. Parameters such as the type of weave used and the size of the mesh are also important. The goal net should also be matched to the age of the players and the type of sport.
Even more important is the question of netting for full-size football pitches. It should be extremely durable. This is because it sits on the goal for the whole season and if it is damaged in any way, the referee will not allow the match to start.
Dimensions of the football goal net
The net should fit exactly in terms of dimensions to the goal. Typically, a goal used for football is 7.5 by 2.5 metres, while the net placed in it is 7.32 by 2.44 metres. Training goals are often smaller than football goals, measuring 5 by 2 metres. The children's model, on the other hand, is available in a variety of sizes and usually comes complete with a net. In addition to the standard dimensions, you will often find nets with dimensions on the market: 3x2 m or 5x2 m. For all non-standard goals, an individual adjustment of the sports net will be necessary.
Weight of the football net
A football net usually weighs around 5 kilograms and has dimensions of 7.5 by 2.5 metres. The weight is largely dependent on the thickness of the weave, the size of the mesh and the dimension of the net.
How to mount the goal net
The net is not mounted directly onto the frame of the goal, as it is then easy for the whole structure to be damaged during use. Therefore, the net is placed into the frame of the goal or light. It is fastened from the inside using hooks or special hooks located on the posts, crossbar or lower part of the goal frame. When attaching the net to the goal, it is important to ensure that the net is properly tensioned, as only then will the product perform its function properly. On outdoor pitches, the bottom edge of the goal can be stretched and fixed directly to the ground. In other situations, the goal net is tensioned via a special bar.
